PAC Transparency

Trust in government depends on transparency. Voters deserve to know how campaigns are funded, what boundaries candidates set, and how those choices connect to decision-making in office.

My approach is simple: set clear funding rules, follow the law, disclose what’s required, and make policy decisions based on constituents and constitutional responsibility—not donors.

A note on precision

People use “PAC” as a catch-all term, but there are different kinds of political committees with different rules. This page focuses on practical, easy-to-understand boundaries I can maintain—without making promises that create loopholes or confusion.

Funding principles

My campaign is built to earn support, not purchase it. I’m running as an Independent to represent NJ-03 with steady judgment and real oversight—without automatic party loyalty or donor-driven incentives.

  • Independence: policy positions are guided by constituents and constitutional responsibility.
  • Clarity: clear rules about what I will and won’t accept.
  • Transparency: timely disclosure, consistent with federal law.
  • Accountability: decisions explained in plain language, with an emphasis on oversight.

What I will not accept

To reduce conflicts of interest and keep incentives aligned with voters, I will not accept:

  • Corporate PAC contributions
  • Industry trade association PAC contributions

This is about keeping boundaries clear and minimizing situations where voters reasonably wonder whether a vote was influenced by a regulated industry’s political spending.

What I may accept

As permitted under federal law, I may accept support from organizations whose mission is grounded in civic participation, member representation, or evidence-based public policy—particularly when that support aligns with the public interest.

Examples of categories I am open to include:

  • Labor organizations
  • Issue-based advocacy organizations
  • Democracy reform organizations
  • Civil liberties and constitutional rights organizations
  • Science and evidence-based policy organizations

Acceptance of support does not mean agreement on every issue. It does not create control. My responsibility remains to NJ-03 voters and the Constitution.

Disclosure and accountability

All contributions will be disclosed in accordance with federal law. Federal filings are public and accessible, and I will keep my campaign website updated with clear pathways for voters to review disclosures.

What you can expect

  • Compliance with all federal reporting requirements
  • A plain-language summary of this funding policy
  • Clear links to public disclosures and filings

If you see a filing and have a question, I’d rather address it directly than let assumptions fill the gap.

FAQ

Do you take PAC money?

I do not accept contributions from corporate PACs or industry trade association PACs.

I may accept support from certain membership-based or issue-focused organizations, including labor and civil-liberties or democracy-reform groups, as permitted by federal law.

No donor sets my positions. My responsibility is to NJ-03 voters and the Constitution.

Why not just refuse all PAC support?

Campaign finance is complex, and different organizations participate in politics in different ways.

My approach is to set clear boundaries, disclose everything required by law, and make decisions based on what serves NJ-03—regardless of who supports the campaign.

I avoid overpromising “purity tests” that create confusion or can’t be maintained in practice.

How can I verify what you’re saying?

Federal campaign finance disclosures are public. I will also make it easy to find the relevant links and summaries on my website.

If you have questions about a filing, I welcome them.

Does support from an organization mean you agree with them on everything?

No. Support is not control. I will work with anyone in good faith when it helps NJ-03 and remains consistent with the Constitution and the law.

When I disagree, I’ll be direct and transparent about it.
